Range Waiver

In consideration of becoming a member of the Swiss Rifle Club Calgary ("SRCC") and/or accessing the SRCC firearms range located at the Homestead Road Range west of Calgary (the “Range”) or at any of the SRCC events anywhere in the world (“Events”) you agree to the following:

1. That I will abide by all government rules, regulations and laws as well as use good firearms safety practices.

2. That, if applicable, all my government firearms licensing requirements are up to date. I acknowledge that the firearms sport is a high risk sport and that I am participating at my own risk and in full knowledge of the inherent risks in using firearms, ammunition and being in the vicinity where firearms and/or ammunitions are being used, whether I am an active firearms user, guest or visitor.

3. That I will be fully responsible and liable for any unsafe acts, accidents, death or property damage I and/or my guest(s) may cause, however the cause, while at the Range or any of the Events.

4. I will be fully responsible for all claims, actions, costs and/or damages including incidental damages and all legal fees against the SRCC, its executives, directors, agents, employees and volunteers (collectively, the “SRCC Agents”) and/or other participants, guests or visitors, as a result of my and/or my guest(s) actions, inactions, negligence or carelessness whether or not the above is caused by the use of firearms, ammunitions or any other cause whatsoever.

5. I hereby assume all risks for myself and my guest(s). I hereby release, absolve, discharge, waive and indemnify and hold harmless the SRCC Agents from all responsibility, liability, claims, demands, damages, suits, actions or causes of action of any nature and kind arising from my and/or my guest(s) access to the Range and/or participation in and/or attendance at any Event or related activity, including but not limited to property damage, bodily injury and/or death to myself, my guest(s), the SRCC Agents and/or third parties arising from any cause whatsoever, including without limitation negligence, caused or contributed to by me and/or my guest(s).

6. I also agree to pay for all legal fees based on a solicitor client basis, incurred by any SRCC Agent or other participants, guests or visitors, should the need arise to seek legal counsel and services as a result of my and/or my guest(s) actions or inactions.

I hereby acknowledge that by signing this document I have read and fully understand and agree to the terms and conditions stated herein and that it is binding upon me and my executors, heirs and assigns.
